Finance, Money and Internet Scams--4 Rules to Keep in Mind
Finance, Money
and internet scams
are everywhere. When
shopping for online work at home, which home
based businesses are real?
It sounds
like a straightforward question with a straightforward answer:
just use common sense.
But hold on a second.
Not so fast. Do you think you can separate
the scams from
the legitimates? Have you
seen all the various home based
business offerings on the web?
O.K. Sure. If someone is offering you the Brooklyn Bridge for $1.99--It's a scam. But beyond that,
how can you tell? These job
opportunities are
often counter-intuitive. What seems "too good
to be true" is
often real, and the legitimate-seeming businesses are a scam. But most people don't
have the time or money to check
them out.
I've spent the past five years researching and actually implementing many of
these money making
schemes on the internet, the ones most people
tend to dismiss out-of-hand.
And that's the
problem. Most people dismiss them first, without giving a serious second thought to them. They think they know. But they don't. It's not as straightforward as people
first assume.
Here I've compiled four rules to
keep in mind when shopping for a home based
business opportunity. This list is by
no means comprehensive, but is a good thumbnail starter for those
interested in home based businesses.
1. Look
For Money-Back Guarantees.
Reputable
companies will always
offer money-back guarantees--most within 60 days--some with no time limits at all. Some companies (I'm thinking PaidSurveysOnline and Survey Scout) offer money-back
guarantees, but
must be contacted.
2. Avoid Excessive "Join-Up" Fees.
It's O.K. to pay for the
initial program fee, but avoid companies that continue to ask for "dues"
"bonuses," or "club memberships" after you've purchased their program.
3. Do Your Homework.
Find out how well the
product is
selling and what percentage of people ask for their money back. Go to Clickbank.com for the stats on thousands of products online.
4. Expect Some Extravagance and Exaggeration in the Ad Copy.
People aren't stupid. Ad copy writers
know this. They know most intelligent adults can make adjustments for hyperbole in an ad.
Keep these four rules in mind and use common sense. If you keep an open mind,
approach these offers seriously, and implement their
strategies, many of them can make money for you.

Qualifications Of A Good Veterinarian
Here's a really simple way... to fairly scrutinize
your pet care practitioner
Remember, your Veterinarians primary goal
is to help
you and your
dog. If you do not honestly believe this to be
the Doctors goal,
time to find another
Veterinarian for your dog! This
guide will assist in
that search.
Is
The Veterinarian A Member Of Any Professional Organization?
I always seek out
the AAHA logo.
When you enter the office do you see one? AAHA is the abbreviated version for American Animal Hospital Association.
Only those adhering to stringent
voluntary requirements and inspections are allowed to display the AAHA logo. Veterinarians who are serious about quality service invest the
necessary money and energy to pass. Only 15 percent
of animal hospitals qualify. If you see this logo you've found quality.
Logo Visible ___ yes ___ no.
Any
other Organizations or Club involvement? ___ yes ___ no.
If yes explain ___________________________________________________
Get Free Second Opinions
Consider a practice
with at least three Veterinarians. Why?
Anything that is not clear-cut warrants a consultation at a good hospital. Receive one opinion, get two second opinions for free.

Keep these following points in mind while observing the Veterinarian's practice.
Make sure the Veterinarians you have chosen has experience

freely. Document all medical information and keep it safely hidden
as some healthy dogs can live up to
16 years and within that time you may
change location or Veterinarians they will need this information to continue quality
service. Always Demand The Best For Your Dog.
Services you want.
Look for a broad range
of services such as

How To Use Golf Training Aids To Improve Your Putting
Drive for show,
putt for dough. Relax
the nerves, trust
your line. Eyes over
the ball, smooth
take away. Accelerate through
the ball, and...
Klinka tinka tinka -- yes! The sweet sound of
a birdie putt, or even
a 6-footer for par,
dropping into
the cup. It's a
great feeling, especially if
you just finished the 18th for a personal best round. Or if you just won 5 skins
to make your buddies shell out some serious coin. A hot day with the putter
can make you feel like a million bucks. Actually, in the case of a PGA tour pro, it can earn you a million bucks.
Too bad
that for the
average golfer those days seem
to come so infrequently. The average Joe uses up
anywhere between
32 and 40 putts per round, while the best
pros average around 30. Tour pros make just under 90% of their putts from
4-5 feet, while average guys make around 50%. That's a lot of shots to give up! Think about
this: if you
are a thirteen handicapper, your average score
is around 85, and you average 36 putts per round,
then 42% of your shots are putts! And what
do you spend
most of your time
doing at the range? If youre like most guys (and gals) then you spend most of your time beating balls with your driver or mid-irons. Yet, according to the numbers you should be spending almost half of your time
on the
putting green.
So how can busy people with little time for
golf practice still improve their putting
game without doubling practice time or drastically reducing the amount of time spent practicing their full shots? Golf training aids are the answer. Many training aids exist
that can quickly improve your putting
stroke and green
reading without spending hours on the putting green. Just 10 to 15 minutes per practice session is required for most golfers to drop strokes quickly. Here are some tips for
finding right training aids or a combination of training aids to
maximize your results:
1.
Look for training aids that allow you to easily see the following
things: square clubface, shoulder alignment, eye placement (over the ball), foot alignment, and stroke path. Some devices use mirrors, some use low-power lasers. Most training aids have physical barriers that keep the putter on the right path during the stroke.
2. For eye alignment you can always do this: line up the putt and address the ball
as if you were going to hit the putt. Then
take a ball from your pocket, put it between your eyes, and allow it to drop straight down. Wherever the ball lands is where your eyes are lined up. They should be directly over the target ball.
3. Whatever device(s) you choose, make sure that they are not too large and/or awkward. My experience is that you don't use the device unless it is convenient.
4. Follow through is also important, so make sure that the training aid gives you feedback for the whole stroke. You need to see that your stroke path is straight and putter face releases properly after contact, otherwise you will have consistency problems.
5. Use the
golf training aid consistently, every time you practice. You need to groove the stroke and you can't do that unless you keep at it.
Also, if possible, use the device at home or at the office
when you have a spare minute. This extra practice time really helps.
I wish you good
luck and a hot blade!
Mike Gelhaus, once racquetball professional and published author for Racquetball Magazine, has turned his attention back to the game of Golf. With the use of golf training aids, he achieved a handicap of 3 only
weeks before back surgery. Check out his site at

Tips For Online Auction Shopping
Participating
in online auctions
can be a lot of fun! More
often than
not, you can find
yourself on
the good end of a
great deal on something
that you would
have bought elsewhere for a lot more money. Online
auction shopping can be great, but there
are some things
to consider
when putting
your money up on a bid. In this article,
we'll give you some tips when it comes
to buying on
sites such as eBay.
-
When you're bidding on
an item, and the
shipping and handling fees are
not clearly shown on the bid
page, it's
important to discuss them with the seller before you
place any bid. Some sellers offer low prices on items only to charge exorbitant fees when it comes to shipping and handling. Clarifying that you aren't getting ripped off on shipping before you
place a bid
is of the
utmost importance.
- Also, when you find an
item you like, it's important to read the
seller's feedback on their
past auctions. Reading how they do business with other people is the cornerstone of ensuring that
you'll have a positive buying experience with the seller.
- If an
item really strikes your eye, but it's at a high
price, try checking out the seller's other auctions. Sometimes sellers offer the same item many times in a row, and you may be able to get a better deal on the same item if you wait around for another auction from the same seller.
- One way that people have been able to successfully score great
deals on auction sites is to bid-snipe'. To do a bid-snipe, you
just need to look for auctions that are ending in the very near future. If there's an item with 5
minutes left on it that is selling for a low price, by all means, you should bid just
slightly higher than the high bid to secure the item for a steal.
- Ensure that the item is in proper condition before buying. If the seller offers a vague description of a used item, it's important to make sure that the item meets your expectations before placing a bid. If you're not cautious, you may end up spending cash on an item
that's in poor or non-working condition.
Follow the above tips, and
you'll find yourself getting better and better deals on auction sites. What's most important is to know exactly what you're paying for, and how much you'll be paying when all is said and done.

A Short History on Sudoku
Now
being hailed as the Rubiks Cube for the 21st Century, Sudoku has become the fastest
growing puzzle game throughout the world. Sudoku which
in some cases be spelt as Su Doku
and is pronounced as Soo Doe Koo is an abbreviation
of the Japanese phrase suuji wa dokushin ni kagiru meaning the digits must remain single.
Although many people
believe it
to be
of Japanese origin, it isnt. The only thing truly Japanese about it is the name.
In Japan there is
a Publishing House
called Nikoli
who publish the countries leading
puzzle publication Monthly Nikolist and it
was members of the staff that noticed there was an interesting number puzzle game called The Number Place being published
in the
American version of their puzzle magazine called Dell
Puzzle Magazines. So
in April 1984 Sudoku as it is known in Japan and across the world made its debut in the Monthly Nikolist, although it was originally known as Suunji wa dokushin ni kagiru
by Kaji Maki the president of the company at the
time. Although the maiden issue of Sudoku enjoyed some modest success, its success is really down to the fact that the Japanese people are puzzle crazy.
It was only
after a couple of significant changes had happened which resulted in the puzzles popularity taking off.
Firstly the name was
changed to Sudoku (which is a lot easier to remember) then Nikoli Publishing House introduced 2 new rules for the game in
1986. These were that the numbers were to be arranged symmetrically and the given numbers could not exceed 30. Today you will find that there are at least 5 publishing
companies now producing a monthly magazine which is solely devoted to this game in Japan. As for the name Sudoku it is rather a brand name instead of being a generic one and it has been legally registered by the Nikoli Company in Japan. Because of this any other company producing versions of this game must provide their
own names for their versions.
Other stories that are doing the rounds concerning who
created Sudoku are various; one being that it was created by a team of puzzle creators in
New York. Then the other story also doing the rounds is that a retired architect and puzzle enthusiast by the Howard Gerns invented the game. Yet although these stories conflict because they credit its invention by different people, they do in fact agree on two points.
Firstly that Sudoku was first published in 1979 by Dell Puzzle Magazines with the title The Number Place.
Secondly that both Gerns and the puzzle creators from New York were inspired to produce their own versions by the game called Latin Square of Leonhard Euler. Leonhard
Euler was a Swiss mathematician who presented a paper called De Quadratis Magicis at the St Petersburg Academy in
1776. He demonstrated that a
magic square can be created by using 9, 16, 25
or 36 cells (blocks). However there were
conditions that he imposed on the value of the number
variables which brought about the creation of his magic square, this then evolved into Latin Squares on later papers that he presented.
But the versions of Gerns and team puzzlers games differed from Eulers in 2 ways. The first being that Eulers version does not have any regional restrictions and secondly that Euler did not create or intend to create a puzzle. But it was the fact that Gerns and the team from New York
saw the potential of a hit puzzle being produced from Eulers work and thus proceeded to create what would be the grandfather version of modern day Sudoku.
In 1997 a retired judge based in Hong Kong called Wayne Gould happened to see a Sudoku puzzle in a Tokyo bookstore and he decided to produce a digital version of the puzzle, which he
worked on from 1997 until 2003. Then in 2004 he found himself presenting this unknown puzzle to The Times newspaper in UK and within a
few days of it appearing in The Times other newspapers had begun to print their own versions. In fact it
became so popular that versions of it were soon to be found in Australia and New Zealand, and by 2005 it had become known as the fastest growing puzzle game throughout the world. Soon after American Newspapers were
hearing about this fast growing puzzle and by April 2005 the New York Post was publishing it own version of the game also. Which is
quite strange really as it originated from New York some 20 years previously?
Because it is a number puzzle and therefore does not require the use of any letters from any particular
language, there is no language barrier. The game is now published in many different publications around the world from magazines to newspapers to books solely
dedicated to this highly popular puzzle. You will even find websites that now offer digital versions of the game for either a fee or for free and this will certainly guarantee the games continued success in the future. It also makes it more accessible to the younger population. The race is even on for companies to create a Sudoku puzzle which is specifically designed for mobile phone users.
Sudoku is a logic puzzle which challenges old and young alike and in studies carried out it has been found that those who play Sudoku regularly have increased mental skills.

Dont Underestimate Paintball Girls
If you think
paintball is
a game only for
the guys, then you
are in for a surprise. Many
girls also enjoy
the game
and are starting
to make their
presence known in
the world
of paintball. There is always an all female team in every major tournament for
paintball and many females
turn out
to participate. And
some of
them are
exceptional players. Just because
the players are
girls, dont let
it fool you into thinking
they are not formidable.
Actually,
some say
that paintball
girls are better suited for the game and
have an advantage over males
on the field.
For one reason, females are usually smaller and are
therefore harder
to hit and it is
easier for them to hide. Also paintball girls tend to be more patient than their
male counterparts and will therefore have no problems out waiting an opponent until he outs himself.
Some have noted
that paintball girls tend to bond quicker and better than the males and therefore work together better as a team.
Paintball girls dont like to be
restricted to playing amongst all girls however, but are eager to compete against the men on the paintball field.
Most of the paintball tournaments have at least a few girls competing against men.
The all girl paintball teams have
taken down many all male paintball teams.
Not only do these paintball girls have to be tough and strong to go up against the men, but they have also had to overcome a lot of
obstacles to be able to compete in tournaments. Paintball girls may look meek and somewhat fragile, but in this case, appearances are quite misleading. They can use this to their advantage too as men tend to underestimate the ability of female players of paintball. Most paintball girls are extremely
serious about the sport and they are
very good at it.
Women are no different from men in the beginning because everyone hesitates to suffer the pain of being
shot. And getting hit by a paintball can be extremely painful. But once the game gets underway and the adrenaline kicks in, some paintball girls get
hooked; and
who could blame them? Paintball is an exciting game that is quite competitive but is also
fun to play.
So if you thought paintball was just a guys game, you can see that isnt the case. Women are quickly joining the ranks of exceptional paintball players and many have
become aficionados of the game. The next time you are on the paintball field, watch out for those paintball girls, they make for formidable opponents.
